A camel is expected to be OK after it escaped from its enclosure in Contra Costa County and was hit by cars twice in one day.
The first accident occurred about 3 p.m. Tuesday and the second that evening in Concord, Fox40 in Sacramento reported.
The camel was seen walking around after both incidents and is expected to be fine, officials said.
Seeing a camel in that area isn’t all that uncommon. Several camels live on a property near Bailey Road.
