Not an Extravaganza, but a pretty Elite group nevertheless

Ayala isn’t the only school that can host an extravaganza. La Jolla Country Day, annually one of the best teams in the San Diego Section, also does a pretty good job.

The Elite Classic has five Southland teams in the event’s last four games on Saturday, including No. 10 Lynwood taking on No. 20 Mira Costa, which just happened to beat No. 3 Redondo earlier this week.

Here’s the schedule for games involving local teams:

Mt. Carmel vs. No. 24 Bishop Montgomery, 3 p.m.
Chula Vista Eastlake vs. No. 12 Perris, 4:30 p.m.
La Jolla Country Day vs. No. 2 Narbonne, 6 p.m.
No. 20 Mira Costa vs. No. 10 Lynwood, 7:30 p.m.

And, in case you don’t want to head down the coast, you can head inland to the Ayala Extravaganza. Click here to read all about it, including the matchup between No. 1 Miller and No. 5 Long Beach Millikan.
