Football: Fua recovering from concussion

Brigham Young-bound Alani Fua of Oaks Christian said Monday he hopes to play in Friday’s Northwest Division championship game against Gardena Serra even though he suffered a concussion on Saturday against L.A. Cathedral.

He’s going to have to receive medical clearance. He’s a two-way starter for the Lions at tight end and defensive end but seemed in good spirits Monday attending the Southern Section championship luncheon.
