Mission Viejo (3-1), ranked No. 3 by The Times, solidifies its status as a favorite for the Pac-5 Division title with a 17-12 victory over a mistake-prone Long Beach Poly (3-1) squad on Friday.

Randall Goforth scored on an 84-yard interception return in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the Jackrabbits from suffering their first loss.
