Baseball: Matchups announced for National High School Invitational

Harvard-Westlake, Mater Dei and Orange Lutheran received their first-round schedule for the 16-team National High School Invitational set for March 28-31 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.

Harvard-Westlake, which learned Wednesday that standout pitcher Lucas Giolito won’t be available because of an elbow injury, will face Seale, Ala., Russell County in a March 28 opener. Orange Lutheran will play Georgia Columbus. Mater Dei will take on Las Vegas Bishop Gorman.
