Boys’ basketball: Bryan Alberts scores 32 points for Village Christian

Junior guard Bryan Alberts scored 32 points in Village Christian’s 64-50 win over Royal in the Burbank tournament.

Jordan McLaughlin had 16 points and Kenny Barnes added 14 points and 10 rebounds in Etiwanda’s 60-43 win over Compton at Corona Centennial. Etiwanda will play Centennial in a tournament semifinal on Friday. Centennial defeated Inglewood, 82-75, in overtime. Sophomore Sedrick Barefield scored 25 points and Deontae North had 19 points and 17 rebounds for Centennial.

Thousand Oaks is 3-0 after a 78-44 win over Rowland in the Sierra Vista tournament. Dakota Pierce scored 20 points and Tanner Fanjoy 14.

In the Pasadena tournament, El Camino Real defeated Cantwell-Sacred Heart, 47-38, and will play Leuzinger in Friday’s 6 p.m. semifinals. Julian Richardson scored 19 points. Sophomore guard Jeremy Hemsley scored 16 points and had six assists in Damien’s 64-48 win over Mark Keppel. Jared Dizon added 16 points and eight rebounds.

Brentwood defeated Mira Costa, 80-62. Yanathan Napoleon scored 26 points and Ountee Campbell had 19 points and 10 rebounds. Brentwood will play Lawndale in Friday’s Mira Costa tourney final. Lawndale defeated Morningside, 59-37. Nathan McAnally had 12 points and Myron Phillips 11.

L.A. University advanced to Friday’s 8 p.m. championship game of the St. Monica tournament against Crossroads with an 80-37 win over Jefferson. Arvis Greene scored 18 points.

Oak Park defeated Lynwood, 74-50. JD Slajchert scored 25 points and Ron Lee Jr. 22.
