Northeastern International cut service again.

The only remaining jetliner of the Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based carrier provides service between Fort Lauderdale and Islip, N.Y.--the same route the airline flew when it began operating on Feb. 11, 1982. Northeastern subsequently had grown to serve a dozen cities. But after suffering a cash shortage, it filed under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code last week. After it filed for court protection, the carrier reduced its service from 12 cities to seven, and on Thursday it reduced its service to one route.
