BRISBANE, Australia — Armed police in a helicopter swooped down on a marijuana plantation Wednesday, seizing plants worth more than $20 million.
State Police Commissioner Terry Lewis said the 10-acre plantation, with more than 15,000 plants and a sophisticated irrigation system, was one of the largest discovered in Queensland. Six men were arrested and a guard dog was shot to death during the dawn raid near Charleville, 440 miles west of Brisbane.
