Arco agreed to sell its 50% stake in Ericsson.

LM Ericsson, the Swedish telecommunications company, will pay Atlantic Richfield $42 million in notes for its stake in Ericsson. The deal is expected to be completed by the end of the year, Arco said. Ericsson was formed in 1980 as a joint venture combining the assets of Anaconda Wire & Cable Co., an Arco unit, with the assets of LM Ericsson in the United States, Mexico and South America.
