Normally, continued consumption of a product is enough to provide positive input to its producer. In this case that’s not enough. The city owes you and your organization a special thank you . . . for the new Los Angeles Times Magazine. It is superb. Describing the specifics of what I like about it would take a six-page letter. I’ll just say that I think you have achieved excellence. The Times has provided a better, more advanced product than any publication in the business.
Even the advertising is well presented. It’s hard to believe that the quality of the first few issues can be maintained over time. I just hope you will keep trying.
