Chapman Women’s Tourney Opens Tonight

The Chapman College women’s basketball team, which opened the season last week with a 59-42 victory over Loyola Marymount, will play host to the Chapman/Doubletree Tournament, beginning tonight at the Hutton Sports Center.
The Panthers, led by senior All-American Leone Patterson, will meet Texas El Paso at 8 p.m. in the final game. McNeese State will play U.S. International University at 2 p.m., Air Force will play North Dakota at 4 p.m. and the University of San Diego will play Loyola Marymount at 6 p.m.
The consolation semifinals will be played Friday at noon and 2 p.m., and the championship semifinals will be played Friday night at 6 and 8 p.m., following the Chapman men’s game against UC Davis (which begins at 4). The championship game will be Saturday at 5 p.m., followed by the Panther men’s game against Cal Lutheran.
