Nebraska’s Sen. Exon Has Minor Eye Surgery

OMAHA — Sen. J. James Exon (D-Neb.) was hospitalized Thursday for minor surgery to repair a slight tear on the retina of his left eye, aide Mark Bowen said. Exon, 64, will recuperate at his home in Lincoln and is expected to return to Washington next week, Bowen said.
