The National Audubon Society said it will oppose the appointment of a former Nevada prison official as director of the troubled Western regional office of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Audubon spokesman Amos Eno said in Fresno that the conservationist group is concerned that Steve Robinson lacks the scientific background for the job.
