Anaheim : Fire Station Will Be Officially Opened Today

Residents interested in attending a “fire station-warming” party can pop in for the official opening of Fire Station 10 today.
The station at 8270 Monte Vista Road will serve the east Anaheim Hills and canyon areas. A temporary facility has been used to house Station 10’s full engine crew since June, 1984.
“This station is a welcome addition to our service to Anaheim residents,” Fire Chief Darrel Hartshorn said. “As the city’s eastern section continues to grow, we need to address their needs for fire protection.
“Much of the land surrounding new developments in Anaheim Hills is brushland, and with Station 10 in full operation, we can provide citizens faster response times and more comprehensive protection.”
