PUPPETEER TO BE FEATURED AT IRVINE YOUTH ART DAY

Puppeteer Jim Gamble will be among the acts featured in the sixth annual Youth Art Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Irvine Fine Arts Center, 4601 Walnut Ave., in Heritage Park.
Gamble will present his “Wonderful World of Puppets.” Other entertainment acts will include the Lilliput Players, Kids are Music and Richard Shope, the Mime of Hearts.
The center will provide children’s art workshops and exhibits, including wire animal sculpture by Elizabeth Berrian. Live animals from the Irvine Nature Center will be available for children to observe and pet.
Also on view will be an insect exhibition from the Natural History Museum of Orange County, a safari slide show and wildlife conservation presentations by representatives from the San Diego Zoo and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Admission is $5 a child (age 3 and up). Parents are admitted free. Group rates are available.
