USC Women Beat Stanford in Tennis

The No. 2-ranked USC women’s tennis team, led by Caroline Kuhlman, Heliane Steden, Mary Norwood and Dena Levy, defeated No. 1-ranked Stanford, 6-3, Friday in a Pac-West match at USC’s Marks Stadium.
Kuhlman (No. 1), Steden (No. 2), Norwood (No. 4) and Levy (No. 6) were all winners in singles play. In doubles, Kuhlman and Levy beat Patty Fendick and Leighanne Eldredge, 6-3, 1-6, 6-2, while Steden and Norwood were 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 winners over Stephanie Savides and Marianne Werdel.
USC is 15-1, Stanford 10-1.
