A seven-month undercover investigation in Redlands culminated in the arrest of 56 people suspected of selling narcotics to high school and junior high school students, a Redlands Police Department spokesman said. Sgt. Walter Kadyk said at least 100 drug buys were made during the investigation, mostly from dealers and distributors known to operate near local schools. He also said 41 of those arrested were adults and that weapons, drug-packaging equipment, $5,000 in cash and two cars were seized. “We made 100 buys,” Kadyk said, “so you can imagine that the number of purchases made by school-age children was probably astronomical.”
