National Education Net Up 61% for 1st Quarter

National Education Corp. said first quarter net earnings increased 61% to a record $2.3 million from $1.4 million a year earlier. Revenue was up 2% to $44.6 million from $43.7 million.
H. David Bright, president of the Irvine-based chain of training centers, attributed the results to continued strong performance of the company’s schools and training operations.
