Ropak Corp. Reports Net of $186,000 for Quarter

Ropak Corp., the Fullerton-based plastic container manufacturer, reported net earnings of $186,000 for the first quarter, down 40% from $312,000 a year ago. Revenues of $8.3 million were up 42% from $5.8 million a year earlier.
The company said its net earnings for the first quarter of 1985 included a $136,000 gain from a non-recurring currency exchange in connection with the acquisition of a Canadian company.
