College Tennis : Saddleback Finishes 14-0 in Conference

The Saddleback College men’s tennis team completed South Coast Conference play undefeated Thursday by scoring a 9-0 win over Cypress at Mission Viejo.
The Gauchos (14-0 in conference and 16-2 overall) were led by No. 1 singles player John Rusk, who defeated Bruce Blimlich, 6-0, 6-3. Rusk, a sophomore, finished with a 12-2 conference record.
The No. 2 doubles team of Mike Boice and Dana Bozman defeated Matt Devine and Blimlich, 6-4 and 7-5.
In woman’s college nonconference action:
Cal State Fullerton 9, Chapman 0--Allison Phelps, Diane Grbacc and Kelly Negrete led the Titans (6-17) at the Santiago Racquet Club in Orange.
