Hawthorne : Construction Hours Limited

The din of construction, a frequent irritant in many residential neighborhoods, will be permitted only from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends under an ordinance introduced this week. Council members said developers working early and late had “disturbed the peace, quiet and tranquility” of many areas. The measure will come up for final action after a public hearing June 9.
