A 38-year-old Navy man was killed Wednesday morning when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed on eastbound Interstate 8 just west of Main Street in El Cajon, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.
Chief Petty Officer James R. Case had been driving at a high speed when he crashed at 1:45 a.m., the spokesman said. No other vehicles were involved.
Case, who had three children, was stationed at the Anti-Submarine Warfare Training Center in San Diego.
