Lyle Alzado, former Raider, will be honored by the City of Hope for community service and presented with the Steamer Award, named after Bud Furillo of KABC radio, Wednesday night at the Sheraton Premiere in Universal City.
Furillo will deliver the tribute, and his co-worker at KABC, Lee Marshall, will be the master of ceremonies. Deacon Jones, Marques Johnson, Ray (Boom Boom) Mancini, Jay Johnstone, Howie Long, Steve Bartkowski and Rowdy Roddy Piper will be among the athletes present.
