Valley Blows Lead in Loss to West L.A.

Cecil Whitmore scored six points in the last two minutes to lead West Los Angeles College to a 58-55 victory over Valley on Thursday night in the first round of the Moorpark College tournament.
Valley led, 51-48, before Whitmore, who had 12 points, made three straight shots to rally the Oilers to the win.
West L.A.’s Lamar Ball led all scorers with 22 points.
Sophomore guard Gary Goodrich led Valley with 14 points.
Valley is 0-7.
