Drivers on Highway Move So Small Plane Can Land

ST. ROSE, La. — Drivers on a two-lane highway moved over Sunday to allow the emergency landing of a light airplane whose engine failed, authorities said.
Walter Ingram Leabo, 47, landed his single-engine plane safely and taxied onto the shoulder of Airline Highway, three miles short of New Orleans International Airport, police said. He was not injured.
