Booker Says He’s Going to SDSU

SAN DIEGO — Tommy Booker, an All-American running back from Vista High School, said Sunday that he is going to sign with San Diego State as soon as his father agrees to co-sign a letter of intent.
“I’m just waiting for my dad to sign the papers,” Booker said. “I’m going (to San Diego State) even if he doesn’t sign them. He just wants me to look it over and be sure. I know it’s (SDSU) the thing for me. The big-name schools just didn’t catch me. I’m hoping by Tuesday I’ll be able to make it official.”
Said Tom Booker Sr.: “I heard (Tommy) talking on the phone today (Sunday) and he said he’s going to San Diego State and he’s 100% sure. I haven’t talked with him about it because I want to let it all settle in his mind. It’s easy to make a mistake if you’re not sure. I just want to be sure he’s sure before we make a decision. If the decision is San Diego State, then it’s San Diego State.”
