29 of 330 Collegians in NFL Tryout Camp Tested Positive, Official Says

A National Football League official said that 29 of 330 college seniors who participated in the league’s tryout camp six weeks ago in Indianapolis tested positive for drugs or alcohol, a published report said Friday.
The Dallas Morning News reported that a letter, dated Feb. 24 and containing the test results, was sent to the NFL’s 28 teams. The report indicated that 1 player tested positive for cocaine, 6 for marijuana, 2 for alcohol and 20 for steroids.
Last year, 57 of the 335 college players tested positive for drugs or alcohol, 54 for marijuana and 3 for cocaine.
