BritRail Will Expand Services
BritRail will offer new rail services and add improvements to existing services beginning in mid-May.
Two new Pullman services linking Birmingham and Sheffield with London are among the changes. The scheduling of trains throughout the day will be improved, with extra trains added at peak times to ease overcrowding.
On the East Coast Main Line from London’s Kings Cross Station, the “Flying Scotsman” will add a stop in York on its way to Aberdeen. Additional “Friday only” trains from London to Edinburgh and Newcastle will ease congestion. Kings Cross will also be the arrival station for a new departure from Glasgow.
Edinburgh sleeper service will operate to and from London’s Euston Station. All principal Intercity services out of Euston will be provided by air-conditioned trains.
Details on the changes and other BritRail services are available from BritRail Travel International, 800 S. Hope St., Suite 603, Los Angeles 90017, phone (213) 624-8787.
