Is It Too Late to Keep Praying for Raines?

With roughly 10% of the season in, the early returns showed the Dodger center-field candidates (Ramsey, Landreaux, Williams) hitting a combined .224 with no home runs and 6 RBIs. The Dodger team batting average was hovering around .240 and the club was in next-to-last place in its division.
Using last season’s stats as a base, a productive Tim Raines in center would raise the team batting average to about .258 and probably would have the team much higher in the standings.
With May 1 just around the corner, is it too late to keep praying for Raines?
