Robber Holds 50 Hostages

DOUAI, France — A young Libyan man robbed a jewelry store, then held about 50 passengers hostage aboard a train for about an hour before being shot dead by police, authorities said Saturday. The bullet that killed the robber also seriously wounded a passenger, they said.
