A woman serving a prison sentence for plotting with a minister to kill her husband has been charged with first-degree murder in a second, successful attempt to kill him, authorities in Kansas said. Lorna Anderson Eldridge was charged in the 1983 shooting death of Martin K. Anderson, her husband at the time, Geary County Sheriff William Deppish said. Eldridge, who remarried, and the Rev. Thomas Bird, described as her lover, are serving prison terms in connection with an earlier, failed plot in Lyon County to kill Anderson.
