A 23-year-old man was found shot to death behind an Arleta house Saturday night after he argued with the people living there, Los Angeles police said.
The victim, whose identity was being withheld pending notification of his family, was found in the back of a house in the 14400 block of Pinney Street about 8:40 p.m., Officer Lester Freeman said.
No motive has been established for the killing, Freeman said. An argument between the man and the people living in house preceded the shooting, but police released the residents after questioning them, Freeman said.
The man had been shot in the upper body with a small-caliber handgun, which was also found at the scene.
