Shop Center to Rise in Needles
Construction is under way on the Needles Towne Center, a $6.2-million, 90,000-square-foot neighborhood shopping center in Needles.
The ground breaking comes after two years of negotiations between Newport Beach-based Hopkins Development Co. and the City of Needles. The project is the city’s first such center, according to Hopkins.
The development, on the southeast corner of Interstates 40 and California 95, is expected to be completed in November. Hughes-Townsend Inc. of Newport Beach is general contractor, and Phoenix-based Nelson-Kubicek is architect.
