Kaplan and Rose Voted MVPs for UCI Tennis

Mark Kaplan and Kathy Rose were voted the most valuable players of the UC Irvine tennis program.
Kaplan, a sophomore from Johannesburg, South Africa, was 33-14 in singles and 32-7 in doubles. He reached the NCAA singles semifinals and earned All-American honors.
Rose, a sophomore from Davis, Calif., was 28-16 in singles and 19-16 in doubles.
Sophomore Mike Cadigan and freshman Courtney Weichsel were voted most inspirational players, and freshman Richard Lubner and senior Debbie Strombeck were chosen most-improved players.
