Alcoholism Council to Dispense Honors

LONG BEACH — National Council on Alcoholism and Other Drug Dependencies, Long Beach chapter, will hold its annual Clarence J. Lewis Banquet on Friday at the Ramada Renaissance Hotel, 111 E. Ocean Blvd. A musical reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m.
Honorees will be Vice Mayor Edd Tuttle, Thomas and Katherine Pike, Commissioner Bob Ward and the Junior League of Long Beach. In lieu of a speaker, entertainment will be provided by the Ron Rubin Orchestra, featuring Nick De Mauro and Andrea Summerstein and a musical review of the 1940s and ‘50s. Tickets are $50. Reservations may be made through Monday by calling (213) 438-1111.
