Orange : Summer Youth Program Teaches Business Basics
- Share via
County high school and junior high students can learn the basics of business during the Chapman College Enterprise Institute’s annual Summer Youth Program on campus June 22-26.
The program “is designed to stimulate entrepreneurial awareness and knowledge of the American free-enterprise system,” said a college spokesman. Students will also receive “hands-on experience in the various aspects of creating and marketing business products.”
With the help of a college adviser, teams of students will form “companies” and devise and market products.
On June 26, the products will be sold at an “Entrepreneurial Fair” that is open to the public. Awards will be given to student winners in the sales and marketing categories.
The program is open, without charge, to Orange County students in grades 8 through 10. Information is available by calling (714) 997-6849 or 997-6853.
