“Condor,” a National Audubon Society television documentary, won first place in the Conservation Category of the 1986 North American Film/Video Awards, the Outdoor Writers Assn. of America announced Tuesday. The documentary examines efforts to promote the survival of the California condor, an endangered species. A record 44 entries were received in the conservation category of the international awards program, which is sponsored annually in cooperation with Chevron U.S.A. Inc.
