Arabs Need A-Weapons: Kadafi

LONDON — Libyan leader Moammar Kadafi said the Arab world “must possess” nuclear weapons in its quest for development and to “liberate Palestine,” Libyan television reported today.
In a report monitored today in London by the British Broadcasting Corp., Kadafi told university students in a lecture Sunday that nuclear weapons are “essential” to defend the Arab world and should be used if its “existence and independence” are threatened.
