Duarte : Park-and-Ride Lot Planned

The city will establish a park-and-ride lot from which commuters will be taken by van to the El Monte Busway. The vans will leave twice in the morning and return twice in the evening at the lot at the old City Hall, 1635 3rd St.
The cost to the city will be $35,000 for the first year, not including the purchase of a new van that will be used for other purposes during the day. The cost to the commuter for the service has not yet been established.
Those interested should contact the Community Service Department at City Hall, 1600 Huntington Drive. The department is compiling a list of preferred departure times.
