Don’t Blame Defense for Lackluster Offense

The Charger radio announcers defended the Chargers’ poor second-half performance against the Cardinals by blaming the defense. However, the defense was on the field most of the second half because Coach (Al) Saunders refused to go to the air. The Chargers had zero yards passing in the second half, which resulted in zero points. Mr. Saunders, this is American football, not cricket. No guts, no glory.
