Frank Sinatra and Liza Minnelli will perform in concert together during Super Bowl XXII week on Jan. 29 and 30 at the San Diego Sports Arena to benefit San Diego State University’s Aztec Athletic Foundation, promoters announced Wednesday.
“Super Concerts” spokesman John Wadas said this will be Minnelli’s first appearance in San Diego. Wadas said neither performer has had past associations with San Diego State University.
Concert promoters would not disclose how much money they expect to raise for the athletic foundation, but some 14,700 seats are available at the sports arena.
Tickets for both nights’ shows go on sale at noon Saturday and cost $35 and $50.
