Hampton, N.H.-based Wheelabrator Technologies reported that net income rose by 26% to $6.3 million from $5 million and revenue rose by 10% to $243 million from $220.9 million for the third quarter ended Sept. 30.
The refuse-to-energy plant developer and operator reported that net income for the nine-month period ended Sept. 30 rose to $18.5 million from $3.5 million. Revenue rose by 26% to $743.2 million from $591 million during the previous nine-month period. Wheelabrator’s initial public offering occurred in September when La Jolla-based Henley Group sold 6.9 million shares of Wheelabrator common stock.
