The Ninth Theater Festival in Villahermosa, Mexico, opens today, presenting 38 plays by Mexican playwrights and several international works through Dec. 3. Sponsored by the National Institute of Fine Arts, the event spotlights works by playwrights from each of the country’s 31 states, as well as Mexico City.
