A Laguna Hills gardener was struck in the shoulder and another was hit in the leg by BBs fired from a car, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said.
Deputies said the shots were fired from a light blue Nissan sedan at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
In a third incident, Lt. Randy Blair said, someone in the same car fired at a man but missed and broke a window in a residence.
Blair said deputies believe that it may have been pranksters.
The first victim was identified as Jose Lopez-Mora, who was working in front of a residence.
The second victim, Rangel Vesereno, 22, was struck in the upper leg.
Both were treated and released from Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center, Blair said.
