How well do teen-agers and their parents communicate? That is the issue examined in “New Image Teens on Communication,” a 30-minute program airing at 8 tonight and at 12:30 p.m. Saturday on KPBS-TV Channel 15.
The program includes four vignettes written by the members of New Image Teen Theatre, a local troupe, and produced for TV by KPBS. These include a teen-ager’s attempt to tell her TV-absorbed father about a dent in his car; a mother’s discovery that her daughter has lied to her; a father-son discussion about AIDS and a teen caught in a battle between her divorced parents.
“New Image Teens on Communication” is the fourth in an award-winning collaboration between KPBS and New Image Teen Theatre.
