Local News in Brief : Garden Grove : Witnesses to Accident Sought by Investigators

Police said Friday they are seeking witnesses to a near-fatal pedestrian accident involving a man arrested for drunk driving.
The accident took place at 7:09 p.m. Wednesday at the corner of Chapman and Haster streets.
The injured pedestrian, identified as Sergio Posada Estrada, 23, was taken to UCI Medical Center in critical condition. The driver of the van, Patrick Murphy, 29, of Garden Grove, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of felony driving under the influence of alcohol.
