Local News in Brief : Golf Carts Approved
- Share via
The Avalon City Council adopted an ordinance to allow golf cart permits for homeowners associations and similar nonprofit groups as part of a development agreement. Homeowners associations may then place the permitted vehicles in a pool for use by members in the city, where the driving of cars is restricted.
This action will allow BCED Inc., the Irvine-based developer of the Hamilton Cove condominium project, to proceed with sales contracts that include a golf cart for each purchaser.
The council imposed a moratorium on issuing golf cart permits in August, 1987. It expires in June.
