Colorado State Defeats San Diego St.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Pat Durham scored 18 points and teammate Barry Bailey added 17 as Colorado State overwhelmed San Diego State, 78-54, in Western Athletic Conference action Friday night.

The Rams jumped to an 8-0 lead, held a 40-33 lead at half and humiliated the Aztecs 38-21 during the second half.

Eric Friehauf scored eight of Colorado State’s first 10 points. The Rams held San Diego State scoreless for the first five minutes.

Colorado State raised its WAC record to 1-1 and its overall mark to 10-4 while San Diego State dropped to 1-5 in the league and 7-10 overall.
