It is time nurses are paid a decent salary and treated with more respect. Nurses will not be treated with respect until they are paid as professional people.
There is no other job as exhausting mentally, emotionally and physically as nursing or as important with the exception of physicians, firemen and policemen.
We have paid our dues! I was involved in the strike in 1960s at Stanford and we won.
