By George, Perhaps USC Made Mistake in Raveling
- Share via
It’s becoming painfully evident as one loss follows another that USC’s hiring of George Raveling is as big a mistake as the hiring of Ted Tollner.
This year, Raveling has somehow taken a team with far more talent than last year’s and turned it into the laughingstock of the West Coast. Yet, the “Teflon” coach has evaded any real criticism from the local media, which has spent its time carving up Walt Hazzard, who is also quite deserving.
It might be time for Mike McGee to deliver to George an ultimatum: Either produce a solid, competitive team next year or it’s back to Washington State for you.
